- Find one sorting step in your product that a full language model handles, and price it with a decision model instead.
- Ask for the confidence number these models return and route only the uncertain cases to a person or a bigger model.
- A step that costs cents and answers in milliseconds can become a consumer feature. Look for one.
If you are a designer
- Fast answers change the interaction. A classification that returns instantly can live inline, not behind a loading state.
- Draw what the person sees when the model is unsure. That state is where the value sits.
