There's like a thousand launch videos a day. Everyone's launching, launch, launch, launch. Thoughts on the rising value of existing distribution being a big lever for growth and success. >> I think the issue is that our entire generation of founders and CEOs were trained on the theory of networks and network building. And as a result, every network that exists today is hyper-trained to ensure no one else builds a network on their network. So, I actually think that the sort of network effects has gone back to this grassroots like true word of mouth. When somebody is getting a ton of mentions on X and on YouTube and on Instagram and all these places organically, that is probably the best form of the sort of third-party network effect that you can hope for today. Just like the Web 2.0 era, unlike the mobile era where you had the App Store and you had growth hacking and you had all of these sort of little cottage industries, we have to kind of build our own channels off of that word of mouth growth. So, in a sense, it's a purer growth problem, but a harder one than we've had in a couple of product cycles.

As a designer, good interfaces don't always reveal themselves at once. They kind of reward curiosity. It's the anticipation. I love a good build-up. This is a makeup side project. You take apart the computer that you know and then you put it into an unexpected medium. This book is about how to wrap five eggs. You have to solve a so many problems at once. Like, how do you keep something cool? How do you keep something warm? Like, how do you make sure it commutes well? I'm such a hoarder when it comes to like packaging and that's when I know it's good packaging design cuz I don't want to throw them away. I really like this book because there have always been women building cool things in tech. I love that she like cares about the internet culture enough to just like document everything. My grandparents always had one. Everyday they would tear off a page. When I wake up in like a really bad mood, I would crumble the page and I would toss it.
